I altered the wedding dress she’s wearing. The dress was too big at the top and would not stay up. This is a very heavy bridal gown too! With the right fit even the heaviest wedding dress can stay put. I took in the sides through the bust and hips and added bra cups.
Take a look at the sweetheart neckline. The dress was originally straight across the top. With a creative alteration I was able to give it a softer sweetheart look. I’ve done this for all the bridesmaids of a bridal party this year too. Check with me so see if this is possible for your dress!
I did her bustle too and it’s always good to hear how that worked out. Her mom said it was easy to do. I try to keep bustles as simple and sturdy as possible.
I can work with busy schedules and brides who live out of town. This bride came in for several weekend fittings. I’m typically closed on weekends for time with my family, but for those who need it we are all happy to work you into our weekend plans. Often I’ll have brides from the Chautauqua County NY area who live out of town arrange for appointments to coordinate with their home visits.
