Glimmer Illusion Cathedral Veil at Full Width

1 tier long veil at full widthHere you see a glimmer illusion cathedral veil at full width. This veil is made of white glimmer illusion at 120″ long. A cathedral length veil is a long veil and at this length the full 108″ width works well and still does not look too thick.

2 Tier Waltz Length Wedding Veil with Swarovski Crystals

Medium fullness traditional veilThis 2 tier waltz length wedding veil has Swarovski crystals scattered throughout. Look for the bits of light reflecting from the veil. We place the flat back crystals back to back on both the front and back of the veil so you only see crystal no matter how the veil moves about.

 

 

 

 

rhinestone and pencil edge close upThis is a close up of the pencil edge as well as one of the rhinestone crystals.  Do you see it just a bit away from the edge? The whole veil, both layers, has the crystals scattered throughout. As it hung from the lilac bush fluttering in the breeze today the light would catch the various crystals emitting a beautiful sparkle.

2 tier veil with crystalsThis is a good example of how medium fullness looks on a 2 tier veil at a medium length. Notice that the 2 tiers give it a fuller look. At full width it would be even thicker looking. You can also see the traditional shape here, the sides come straight down and curve around the lower edge.

Champagne Veil with 2 tiers and a Cut Edge

2 tier medium fullness short veilThis champagne veil has 2 tiers, layers. It is a short veil at medium fullness. The tiers are 25″ and 23″ long with a plain cut edge. At this shoulder length it still has a lot of body with the 72″ medium fullness. At full width it would be very fluffy. Shorter veils tend look puffier than the long ones do.

 

Plain edge wedding veilIt’s hard to see the actual color in these photos. This bride has a champagne dress and was having trouble finding a veil in the champagne color. We sent her swatches to see if our champagne matched her dress. We can send them to you too! What is champagne? It’s darker then ivory, more of a beige. There are many variations and different color tones for “champagne” dresses, so it’s good to check out the color in person. Our champagne is usually a good match, but once in awhile we’ve special ordered a different shade/color tone for brides who need it.

Medium Fullness Waltz Length Wedding Veil

1 tier knee length veilA 1 tier waltz veil with a pencil edge made with ivory bridal illusion. This veil is 54″ long, about knee length on many of us. It’s light and transparent made with ivory bridal illusion.

 

 

 

Lilacs behind a pencil edge veilLilacs are in bloom at Veil by Roxanne! Here is a pencil edge, narrow stitches the wrap around the very edge of the veil. A pencil edge is a bit less then 1/8″ wide. It gives a nice light outline of the veil that does not interfere in showing a stunning gown or hairstyle.

Fingertip Mantilla Veil with Plain Cut Edge

There are several options for attaching mantilla veils to your hair such as Mantilla veil with a metal combcombs or hair pins. This fingertip mantilla has our metal comb sewn to the edge with invisible thread.

What color to get for an “Eggshell” or very light ivory dress? Diamond white is often the best match. Diamond white is an off white, not a pure bright white and not a creamy ivory either.

Dark Green Organza Mantilla Veil

Elbow Mantilla Organza veilThis dark green organza mantilla veil was a special request. That’s exactly what we are here for making custom made veil! The bride wanted a non-traditional veil in a different color and she has dark green and silver for her wedding. We sent her some samples of potential dark green fabric for her veil (from the US to the UK). One fabric was a beautiful dark green organza with silver embellishments already on it. It was meant to be!

Notice how the organza is a bit stiffer then other veil fabrics, which is nice for a mantilla as it holds the circular shape well. Many organza fabrics are a bit shiny.

Lace Mantilla Elbow Length Veil with Venice Lace Edge

Elbow MantillaThis lace mantilla is an elbow length veil. The lace edge is done with a Venice lace the customer sent to us. This mantilla is a 36″ circle of ivory bridal illusion and it lets the back of the dress show through. A 3″ clear plastic comb is hidden under the lace. We offer lace veils like this where the bride finds the lace herself or we stock some lace you can choose from. When shopping for lace look for designs that are scalloped on both sides, this allows it to smoothly curve around the edge of the veil. Venice lace works great!

1 Tier Chapel Length Veil with Ribbon Edge at Medium fullness

This is what a 1 tier chapel length veil with a ribbon edge looks like at medium fullness. The wedding veil is 84 inches long at the medium fullness of 72 inches wide. Notice it is done in the traditional shape. The ribbon used on the edge is our ivory 1/8 inch wide polyester ribbon on ivory bridal illusion.

A chapel veil is a floor length veil. It is important to measure yourself with shoes on (and hopefully with the dress on too) because we are all different heights and the dress is a factor too.  This dress is quite full and the veil at 84 inches matched up well with the back of the dress. Where you position the veil on your head can change the length too, notice her’s is up high. If you wear it lower the veil will be longer.

Notice on this bride it’s actually closer to a fingertip length. To organize our website veils up to 36 inches fall in the elbow length category, so it’s important to measure. Need help measuring?

This mantilla veil attaches with a metal comb that’s hidden under the lace at the edge. This is a dark ivory or champagne veil using our “cream” champagne/dark ivory silk chiffon. For Retro Veils wear a Lace Mantilla Veil in 1920′s Vintage Style

For the look of retro veils wear a lace mantilla veil vintage style. This new mantilla veil looks vintage because the bride is wearing in an old fashion way, looks like a 1920′s veil. The bride placed the lace veil over her head and fastened tied it in a knot at the back of her head forming a cap (kind of like basketball players do with “do-rags”). This mantilla veil is a 48 inch circle of white bridal illusion with a lace edge using our lace L1564 with no comb or pin. The bride tied it in a knot at the back of her neck for a retro look.
