“Thanks again Roxanne and you’re welcome. Feel free to use the photo. I will definitely recommend you in the future, it was truly a gorgeous veil and I receive countless compliments!”
This is for a cathedral length mantilla, a large oval 120″ by 108″ with a lace edge using our L1849. We still have some of this lace, just enough for a short or elbow length veil. The veil is made of ivory glimmer illusion with the ivory lace.
See her wearing her lace mantilla veil!
“I received my veil today, and I absolutely LOVE it! It’s perfect and looks just how I imagined/hoped it would look! Thank you, thank you!”

See our bride wearing her lace edge mantilla, a silk chiffon wedding veil. Notice how it is more opaque than the typical wedding veil, silk chiffon is a solid thin flowing fabric. The chiffon veil is a good match with the chiffon sash on her dress.
This veil was ordered as an elbow length mantilla, but notice it actually falls almost to her fingertips. The veil is a 36 inch diameter circle and on many of us that can be a fingertip length. 36 inches is a good size for a chiffon mantilla, shorter can end up looking too small and the long ones will be more of an elongated oval because the chiffon is not as wide as illusion.
We offer lace veils with lace we supply or with lace the bride supplies, so options are endless. This bride chose our lace, a wider white lace trim, L2117. Narrower lace trims work well on this size veil too. We’ve made some long veils with this lace too, so as of this moment there’s enough left for another veil this size or a bit longer. We have the same lace trim in a champagne color too. To see photos of our current lace trims email us with the color of your dress firstname.lastname@example.org
To check prices and learn how to order a lace edge veil use our veil quotation form. Coming soon we will have pages showing photos of all our lace trims by color. After that we will be adding regular items to our shop for lace edge veils. Stay Tuned!

Here is our happy customer wearing her mantilla veil at her sunny wedding! This mantilla has our heart lace edge and it is at elbow length. Notice how the mantilla makes the veil very transparent. This veil is a 36 inch diameter circle made of white bridal illusion. She chose our lace trim for the edge, it’s our LW2 lace which is about an inch wide. This lace is a white Venice lace with a heart design. Very pretty with her chiffon dress!
Here is what she had to say: “Roxanne-

This was for a Lace Cathedral Veil done in the traditional 1 tier style using lace the customer provided. She wanted a wide lace and this was 4″ to 5″ wide. See more photos and a complete description of it on our Design Gallery Post about this Cathedral Lace Veil
This lace mantilla veil is a chapel veil with a lace trim edge. Chapel length veils are floor length. If you want a wedding veil that is transparent, mantilla veils are the sheerest. A mantilla is a flat circle or oval that is not gathered, so they don’t have all the folds traditional tier veils have. You can see right through an illusion mantilla.
This bride requested a custom oval shape for her mantilla veil. She wanted it to be very light and transparent, see all the buttons on the back of her dress? Most mantillas are circles, but this one is an oval 90 inches long and 72 inches wide. Our veils are all custom made so you have a choice for any size mantilla as a circle or oval. The sides on the circles wave in and out as they hand down while the ovals hang down smooth with a gradual curve.
This lace veil is made with our lace. This lace is gone but we have similar lace, email us for photos of our current lace selection in the color you need: white, diamond white, ivory or champagne: email@example.com. The veil attaches to her hair with our 3.5 inch clear plastic comb. The comb is sewn hidden under the lace at the top center of the long edge.

My brother got married July 10, 2013. I made my new sister-in-law’s wedding veil! Now that the wedding is past I can tell you all about it.
She chose an elbow length veil. That worked well with her dress because it has a pretty lace up back and stunning lace on the skirt and train, so it kept the back visible. This was an outdoor wedding in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The ceremony was in a grove of trees complete with roots and rocks and Colorado summer heat. A short veil was ideal.
Wearing a blusher was a possibility, so she opted for a 2 tier veil. Even if she didn’t wear it as a blusher the 2 layers has a nice effect. However shorter 2 tier veils can get quite poofy and she wanted a sheer thinner look.
She needed a sheer fullness, but she also wanted the waterfall shape. A waterfall veil has cascading sides as it narrows toward the bottom. This shape veil has to start out at least around medium fullness a the top in order to get the effect. Medium fullness is 72″, I was able to cut her veil at 60″ and still get the waterfall effect while minimizing the poof.
This is a lace edge veil. Her dress has lace on it, especially at the train, so she wanted to carry that over up on the veil. This is a lace we stock. When a bride wanted a lace edge veil we find out what color is needed and then email photos of our current stock lace. She picked her favorites and I send her samples. EL955 is the one she liked and it comes with little pearls on it, which also went along with the pearls on her dress.
Any veil can be embellished with crystals (or other beads). She like the AB Swarovski rhinestone crystals (iridescent) and wondered if they’d look right with the lace edge. I did up a sample with the lace and crystals just off the lace on the veil fabric. It looked great and she loved it too. Iridescent, AB (Aurora Borealis) crystals reflect colors, mostly a subtle red and blue. Red and blue were colors of their wedding. My brother’s favorite color is red and hers is blue. Red and blue make purple, so purple was also a theme color. Another benefit if the crystals and the lace edge is the extra weight they add, perfect for this outdoor wedding as the veil tends not to fly around so much in the breeze.
The other thing we had to check was the length for each tier. Remember I’m in New York State and she’s in Colorado, so we did this just like I do for all my online customers. I gave instructions for measuring and she had my brother help her measure. They came up with 30″ and 16″. Now in the past I’ve had a bride with a blusher where the length ended up being too short once her hair was done up. I suggest at least 20″ if it could possibly be used as a blusher. I sent a sample piece of illusion at 20″ and 30″ by mail so she could see what that was like in person. By the way, I’ll follow up with specific samples for all customers as needed, just ask!
The last detail is the comb attached to the veil. It’s hidden, but we do have 3 types of combs. Her hair is think and mostly straight and she planned to wear part of it up, part down with some curls. It was also likely to be a hot day and nice to be able to remove the whole veil without messing up her hair. The 3.5″ clear plastic comb worked well for this because of it’s smooth teeth. The larger 4.25″ comb wold have been too big for the half up hair style. The metal comb has wire loops for teeth that could have pulled apart her up do when removing the veil.
On the wedding day I got to help her put in the decorative hair comb he had and the place the veil just behind it. She wasn’t sure if she’d wear it as a blusher so we pulled the short tier of the veil over to the front to see how it looked. Everyone liked the effect, so that’s how she came down the aisle. It stayed in place for the ceremony and photos and later on when she was hot she slide it out without disturbing her hair.

This lace mantilla is an elbow length veil. The lace edge is done with a Venice lace the customer sent to us. This mantilla is a 36″ circle of ivory bridal illusion and it lets the back of the dress show through. A 3″ clear plastic comb is hidden under the lace. We offer lace veils like this where the bride finds the lace herself or we stock some lace you can choose from. When shopping for lace look for designs that are scalloped on both sides, this allows it to smoothly curve around the edge of the veil. Venice lace works great!
This Silk chiffon elbow length lace mantilla veil is opaque and very soft and flowing. This is a 36 inch diameter circle. Notice on this bride it’s actually closer to a fingertip length. To organize our website veils up to 36 inches fall in the elbow length category, so it’s important to measure. Need help measuring?
This mantilla veil attaches with a metal comb that’s hidden under the lace at the edge. This is a dark ivory or champagne veil using our “cream” champagne/dark ivory silk chiffon. The lace veil edge was done using our lace L101C1. Contact us to see our current lace selection by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
For the look of retro veils wear a lace mantilla veil vintage style. This new mantilla veil looks vintage because the bride is wearing in an old fashion way, looks like a 1920’s veil. The bride placed the lace veil over her head and fastened tied it in a knot at the back of her head forming a cap (kind of like basketball players do with “do-rags”). This mantilla veil is a 48 inch circle of white bridal illusion with a lace edge using our lace L1564 with no comb or pin. The bride tied it in a knot at the back of her neck for a retro look.
This 3 tier veil is a royal length veil, it’s longer than cathedral veils. This lace veil is in the traditional shape at full width of white bridal illusion. The veil length is 190, 48 and 38 inches. The long tier is detachable for after the ceremony.
- Royal length veil with 3 tiers 190″ 48″ 38″, longer than cathedral veils. Lace edge goes all the way around each tier.
- Blusher veil can be any 2 or 3 tier veil at royal or any length, use the shortest tier worn to the front as a blusher.
